2024 Annual Report - Actions for Global Justice in a Changing World

Downloads

We are delighted to present to you our 2024 Federation Annual Report that highlights some of our collective successes, missed opportunities and lessons for the future. Despite the significant challenges encountered in 2024 - including the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, global economic instability, geopolitical tensions, and the increasing frequency and impact of climate-related disasters, your courage and commitment has enabled us to make meaningful progress in achieving key federal milestones in our connected thematic work and global campaign, Fund our Future.

A challenging world calls for renewed efforts for change. Through ActionAid’s Strategic Implementation Framework (SIF3) Action for Global Justice in a Volatile World, ActionAid focuses on strengthening work with movements who are the frontlines of change. The federation is united in its shared vision to become a rooted campaigning organisation with a strong popular base, whilst recognising the importance of considering local and national contexts when implementing our collective frameworks.

Our 2025 plans outline strategic interventions to ensure we deliver connected thematic programmes linking local, national and global struggles and shifting power at all levels, underpinning this work with effective systems and supporting through sustainable fundraising. Looking ahead to 2025, we hope to continue to advance our mission and deepen our impact.

Alongside the stories’ map, the report shows the breadth and depth of our work, and the potential role that ActionAid can play, working together with partners and allies across the globe.

We would like to thank all our staff, partners and allies who continue to reflect, innovate and drive change alongside us. We are working together in solidarity to shift resources and power to those living in the margins of society and facing oppression. We thank and stand in solidarity especially with activists in the frontlines of crisis and conflict who are working to achieve social justice for all.

We acknowledge and appreciate the important role that governing bodies play around the federation in their voluntary capacities. We thank countries for sharing data, analysis, stories and learnings for this collaboratively generated report. What is captured in the pages that follows is only the tip of the iceberg. There is a huge amount of work going on every day across the federation and across the globe. It is seen and appreciated.
