In 2015, world leaders agreed to 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In so doing, they committed to achieving SDG4 and to delivering equitable, inclusive and quality education for all by 2030. With less than 10 years to go, and with increasing pressure on public finances resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic, spending on education must be prioritised.
ActionAid has produced seven factsheets that provide a brief outline of the current issues affecting education financing in Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda. These factsheets are intended to support and inform awareness-raising and advocacy activities.
