SelFISH Europe: How the Economic Partnership Agreements would further contribute to the decline of fish stocks and exacerbate the food crisis in Senegal
Against a background of unprecedented food shortages, including in Senegal, this study aims to analyse how the Economic Partnership Agreements currently under negotiation between the EU and West Africa impact on the Senegalese fishing sector, food security and particularly the livelihoods of women.
The study focuses on the role played by the EU and the role it plays in overexploiting Senegal’s marine resources, before dealing with the burning issue of the Economic Partnership Agreements (EPAs).
