Who we're looking for:

Are you passionate about public fundraising and investments within the INGO space?  This might just be the role for you! ActionAid is seeking an agile and strategic fundraising expert who can effectively deputise for the Head of Fundraising and drive the next phase of our fundraising transformation journey. This role requires someone who can confidently step in as a delegated decision-maker, maintaining governance, clarity, and momentum in delivery across a complex, high-impact portfolio. You’ll represent the fundraising function at senior forums, approve key investments, chair planning and prioritisation meetings, and lead cross-functional responses to emerging issues.

As a co-creator, you will collaborate with others within the Global Secretariat and ActionAid Federation, overseeing the delivery of our fundraising project portfolio, retooling storytelling to convert for public fundraising, coordinating dashboards to track regular giving and single gift KPIs, and ensuring that every initiative drives measurable results in conversion, retention, and engagement. With strong governance acumen, you will manage risk, produce quarterly performance packs, and uphold safeguarding, brand integrity, and data protection standards.

As a people leader, you will recruit, coach, and develop diverse start-up teams in new markets, establishing best-practice operations while embedding ActionAid’s feminist leadership principles and a test and learn culture. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives on building systems, empowering teams, and turning strategy into tangible fundraising success.

You should also have strong commitment to ActionAid’s values and ethos, including ActionAid’s feminist leadership principles.
