This Programme Funding Advisor role with ActionAid International is for you. Reporting to the Head of Civic Participation and Public Services you will play a key role in mobilising funding for our work on deepening democracy, promoting tax justice and improving public services, particularly education and urban services – with a strong cross-cutting focus on women’s rights. This will involve developing programme funding strategies including for long term work and emergency response as well as donor mapping. You will identify and coordinate multi-country opportunities and proposals as well as ensure consistency of approach across the organisation. You will also work with fundraisers across the federation to focus on programme funding for activities that closely align to our priorities and ensure that applications are of high quality. You will provide advice and oversight of funding for the portfolio as well as support strategic EU proposal development for single country opportunities.
You will have substantial experience of public speaking and business writing. You will have very strong proposal writing skills as well as the ability to adapt to the demands of diverse donors and their requirements. You will have a record of leading successful multi-country bids as well as of delivering evidence based proposals and tenders to institutional donors, particularly the EU. You will also demonstrate knowledge and expertise in the issues around civic participation, tax justice and public Services as well as a keen interest in feminist activism, advocacy and integrated programming (linking work from local to national and international levels).
