Financial Planning & Reporting Manager

Be responsible for managing the long term and operational financial planning and reporting for the Federation and the Global Secretariat, including aggregated financial reports for the organisation on a quarterly and annual basis and for the review of these reports.  You will also be responsible for delivering excellent customer support for users of Finance Consolidation and Reporting systems.

Support the administration, maintenance and further development of the Federation Planning and Reporting consolidation processes in the new Global financial system (GFS). In addition you will assist the Global Secretariat Finance team and the wider Global finance Function with report writing and development of reports for the actuals reporting, budget and forecast processes and in maintaining and developing an in-house web based data collection tool. Your key focus of this role is to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of these Federation processes.

You must have substantial experience of finance department management, including financial planning and reporting; experience of working in an international environment and strong analytical and management skills, with track record in management and motivation of staff. Strong influencing skills (be able to positively build peer working relationships and be effective without having to rely on authority), experience of financial consolidations, and aggregation packages, and experience of varied accounting environments with a proven track-record of process improvement and implementation of best-practice is essential. Experience of working in a multi-national NGO organisation and knowledge of SUN Systems 6 will be an advantage.

 

A relevant Bachelors Degree or Honours Degree and professional accounting qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA) and advanced English knowledge: have substantial experience with public speaking and business writing for at least 2 years is required.
