Downloads

On 23rd June 2011, ActionAid and VOICE (Voluntary Organisations in Cooperation in Emergencies) hosted a panel discussion entitled From Disaster Risk Reduction to Comprehensive Resilience - Towards a Common Understanding.  The event focused on the increasing debate and discussion around the meaning of "resilience" as a concept for reducing people's vulnerability to hazards.  It also looked at the relationship between resiliance and existing discourse and practice on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), as well as trying to guage appetite for developing a common resilience framework.
