Evaluation of ActionAid's response to the 2010 Pakistan floods

Downloads

Heavy monsoon rains led to massive flooding across large parts of Pakistan in 2010, affecting up to 20 million people.

ActionAid responded to the disaster immediately, working with local partners and communities to provide food, temporary shelter and items such as blankets and cooking utensils.  Our long term response (continuing until end 2012) focuses on supporting people to rebuild their lives and livelihoods, and to become less vulnerable to future disasters.

This evaluation report examines ActionAid’s response and recovery programmes in Pakistan in the aftermath of the disaster, and provides recommendations for improvements in this and future emergency responses.
