Join ActionAid International’s HROD Team and partner with the mission / business in delivering key HR objectives for JHB hub. Coordinate the HR management of GS staff in JHB and relevant Africa countries where GS staff are hosted.

Join ActionAid International’s HROD Team and partner with the mission / business in delivering key HR objectives for JHB hub. Coordinate the HR management of GS staff in JHB and relevant Africa countries where GS staff are hosted.

Be responsible for providing a professional, customer focused and effective human resource service for managers and staff in JHB hub, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, employee relations issues, remuneration and benefits management, policy development and compliance. Deliver on key employee life cycle aspects for JHB Hub. Coordinate necessary outsourcing of HR services, providing professional and effective HR services (key employee life cycle aspects) for managers and staff. Anchor OD interventions with HR/OD Head.

You must have substantial Human Resource experience (mid-level) in an international and multicultural environment and strong analytical, strategic thinking and planning skills. Proven experience in leading, supporting and motivating staff and teams; proven experience of leading and developing HR strategies, policies, best practice and standards are required. You need strong and effective communication skills, with proven ability to negotiate and influence, with sensitivity.

Knowledge of International HR trends and practices; and good understanding of labour legislation and employment statutory norms (BEC, LRA and relevant labour legislation as applicable in South Africa) is a requirement. You must have a Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology Social Sciences or equivalent; Honours or Masters Degree advantageous and must be proficient in English.
